I am excited about starting a drawing practice! And am so happy that Michele Beck invited me to join her, Deb Koffman and Andrea Feldman in a virtual co-drawing space. I have a cold today and so made some ginger-lemon-honey tea. Here is a rendition (detail) of those three ingredients on a dishtowel. I was inspired to do the aerial view after seeing Manny Farber's "termite art," which involves deep observation of the quotidian. He describes it as 'journeying in which the artist seems to be ingesting both the material of his art and the outside world through horizontal coverage."
